Katie Armstrong
Founder & Clinic Manager

Katie is the founder and clinic manager of Small Talk Speech, where she leads a dedicated team of speech-language pathologists committed to delivering high-quality, personalized therapy. While she no longer provides direct clinical services, Katie plays an active role in supporting her team and ensuring that individuals and families receive exceptional care. With a strong belief in the benefits of virtual therapy, Katie champions its ability to offer flexible, accessible, and effective treatment that fits seamlessly into clients’ lives. Her background includes years of hands-on experience in private practice and school settings, specializing in areas such as articulation, phonology, apraxia, language delays, fluency, and autism. She also holds advanced training in PROMPT, Social Thinking, the Lidcombe Program, and Story Grammar Marker—expertise she now uses to mentor and guide her clinical team. Katie earned a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies and a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern University in Boston, and later completed her MBA at the University of Toronto in 2019 to support her vision for building a modern, therapist-centered practice.

Stephanie Zwicker
Speech-Language Pathologist

Stephanie is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with experience supporting preschoolers, school-aged children, and young adults in private practice, school-based, and publicly funded settings. She has experience in assessing and treating a wide range of communication challenges, including articulation and phonological disorders, motor speech difficulties, fluency disorders, language delays, and autism spectrum disorder. Stephanie has received specialized training in evidence-based intervention approaches, including PROMPT, It Takes Two to Talk® – Hanen, More Than Words® – Hanen, Meaningful Speech, the Preschool Fluency Course, and the Preschool Motor Speech Course. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics: Speech and Language Sciences from Brock University and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University at Buffalo. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with friends, attending group fitness classes, and visiting board game cafés.

Pooja Prajapati
Speech-Language Pathologist

Pooja is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with experience supporting preschoolers, school-aged children, and young adults in private practice and clinical settings. She has worked with individuals presenting with a variety of communication challenges, including professional/public speaking, articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, fluency disorders, and social communication difficulties. Pooja has developed diverse skills across multiple areas of speech-language pathology and is committed to delivering individualized, evidence-based therapy to help clients build confidence in their communication. She is fluent in English and Gujarati and has a strong understanding of Hindi, ensuring that language is never a barrier to care. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Western University. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). Outside of work, Pooja enjoys painting, drawing, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
